Kimmi + Chad | Married 09.27.13 | Jade Mountain, St Lucia wedding photographer

If you’re going to get married…why not do it in one of the most picturesque places on earth?! Now that’s what I’m talking about. Kimmi & Chad had their wedding, the celebration of a lifetime, on the gorgeous island of St. Lucia. Kimmi happened upon C&I Studios one Saturday evening while we were hosting our monthly Artwalk event (if you don’t know what an Artwalk is click here we’d love to see you come out!). She quickly got to talking to Josh about having us shoot her wedding and then…Ta Da! I was on a plane to St. Lucia along with my wife and new friend, Sarah Culver, who assisted (and did a fantastic job by the way! thanks Sarah!). That’s right, we’ll go anywhere for ya 😉 no complaints here! To capture the beauty on this island and at their wedding was a challenge for sure! We were so overwhelmed! Where do we start, where do we go, so many options, they are all awesome!!! If they had given us twice the amount of time we had to shoot their wedding we gladly would have taken it because the beauty was endless- it was a photographer’s dream come true. The most majestic resort on the island, Jade Mountain, perched on a cliff overlooking The Piton mountains (the two peaks you see in the pictures below) and the clear blue cool water…it just set the stage for Kimmi’s entrance to her new life with Chad in her romantic red lace dress and overall elegance. Of course, we didn’t shy away from capturing Chad’s good looks too…ooww! 😉 This wedding was so intimate and romantic; they wrote their own vows, and were joined by only their closest group of friends. Not only were Kimmi and Chad so friendly and a pleasure to shoot for, but the staff at Jade Mountain was as well. The owner, Edmond, and his wife and wedding planner, Angel, were incredibly helpful, friendly, accommodating, and excellent at putting this wedding together. Honestly, we’ve never worked with a better wedding planner and venue manager!

I know this is a longer post than usual, but we just can’t say enough about how much fun we had at this wedding, how amazing the whole day was, and how happy I am with the end result! Congratulations Kimmi and Chad! I hope you love these photos as much as we do!
