Eileen & Steve started their engagement session off at O’Connell’s, an old Irish restaurant/pub, which was rather appropriate since they had a date there on St. Patrick’s day a month after meeting and took their 1st photo together. The pub was a perfect spot for them to enjoy a couple of Guinnesses and just hang out. The dark wood of the pub and the cozy booth set the mood for a romantic afternoon date. There is so much to do and see in old-town Alexandria- I could shoot there all day. We made stops along the Tidal Basin to get some of the fall colors and you can even see the Monument in the background (under construction of course). We ended our shoot at a cute cupcake cafe called Buzz, where Eileen & Steve had their very first date. They even got me an espresso and a cupcake… Yum!
