I remember when the St.Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church was being built on Shawan Road. I always take joy rides in my car out in Cockeysville because those country roads are just the best. After many months, the church was finished, and I passed by it thinking “wow that looks super epic on the outside, I can only imagine how it looks inside.” If you told me I’d be photographing inside it, I wouldn’t have believed you 🙂
Joy + David, who had the sweetest surprise engagement session over the summer, were having a customary engagement ceremony at St.Mary’s on Thanksgiving afternoon, and even though the studio was closed, I knew I HAD to be a part of it. Joy + David are just the sweetest, and if it was going to be anything like their actual engagement, I knew it would be awesome. With all the beautiful murals, and gold, and epic architecture, not to mention the singing and constant motion of this ceremony, I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It rocked.
