Look, if you’re going to bribe your photographer, do it with wine & puppies.
Lacy & Pete’s engagement session started it in Downtown Frederick, where we went to Isabella, a restaurant that’s special to them…and just so happens to have bright blue furniture out front. Needless to say I was excited. Then we took their dogs Luke & Han Solo to Baker Park to romp around. I was the first to volunteer to sit in the back of the car with those two because…come on…their names are Luke and Han Solo! Lacy & Pete have a gig at Black Ankle Vineyards, so we got the place all to our selves. It was incredible. Pete had gotten a bottle of Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir when he was in California and was saving it for their actual engagement. They didn’t drink it then, but brought it for the shoot. I was lucky enough to try a glass of it after we wrapped their session and hung out in the Tasting Room, finishing up their picnic goods.
All pups and wine and golden winery sunset magic aside, what made Lacy & Pete’s engagement session the most fun was how genuinely these two laughed and loved on each other. You can see the authenticity in every shot, and I LOVE that.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, they gifted me a bottle of Black Ankle’s reserve wine for my anniversary. Can you tell I’m still swooning, because I am!
Lacy & Pete (and Luke and Solo), congratulations! So happy to have you guys as my new friends!
Cheers!
