I have known Ty and Amy for a long time! Amy & I grew up together in the same neighborhood, and even went to the same church at one point. All three of us attended high school together where Amy and Ty started dating. That’s right- Amy and Ty are high school sweet hearts. Ty is the reason I passed high school chemistry actually
We’ve known each other for a while and I had a feeling I would be one day photographing their wedding. Those of you who live on the east coast know that this past winter has been one of the mildest winters we have had in years. But if you’re going to have your Maryland wedding in January, you want it to look like winter. So anyhow, after a winter of averaging 50 degrees everyday, the night before the ceremony the forecast was calling for multiple inches of ice and snow! So fingers crossed that the unexpected weather wouldn’t disrupt any of the festivities. The day of the wedding ended up being beautiful! Beautiful, but cold. There were a couple inches covering the ground. It was just perfect for a beautiful winter wedding that began at Burtonsville Baptist, the quaint little church Amy grew up in. After thawing out Amy’s toes with a hair dryer, the celebration continued at the reception. Guests had a blast at the photo booth we set up and were even able to immediately paste their pictures right into Ty & Amy’s scrap book! Great idea guys! It was an honor to photograph your wedding! Enjoy the pictures!!!
