I first met Janine and Rex during their dreamy engagement session where we explored some of their favorite spots in Baltimore. After hanging out with them for a little bit I knew their wedding was going to be one to remember. Rex constantly had Janine giggling and me cracking up behind my camera. Their love for each and pure enjoyment in each others company makes my heart want to explode. Okay, so let’s talk about their epic wedding!
The day started at the grand Hotel Indigo in Baltimore, which is always a great location for getting ready. They decided to keep their bridal party small which created an intimate feel that I really enjoyed. Surrounded by a few of her closest friends Janine prepped for the big day. Everything from her jewelry to her gown had a classic feel; she made a stunning bride. We had the best fall weather which made it perfect for exploring and capturing portraits. Janine and Rex are always up for anything, which is basically a photographers dream. The ceremony took place at The Baltimore Basilica which is so rad because it was America’s first ever cathedral. Then we ended the night at my favorite wedding venue in Baltimore, the Belvedere Hotel. Whenever I hear that a couple has chosen the Belvedere for their wedding I’m always excited. Belvedere Hotel weddings have a charm about them that I just love. The band Spectrum carried us through the night with tunes that got everyone on the dance floor.
One of my favorite memories from the night was when Rex jokingly informed Janine that she’d be wearing her dress a few times a year to get her moneys worth, even if that meant to the grocery store. Obviously this had me laughing and scheming up ideas for an anniversary shoot to document this excursion. Hopefully more good things to come with these two!
Janine and Rex, thanks for giving us a time we won’t soon forget. We had a blast spending your big day with you! Wishing you lots of use of your wedding garments and happiness forever.
