Desiree and Wilber. Where do I start? If they look familiar to you, it’s because we romped around DC together one fine morning during their engagement session. Later that year we laughed (and danced) so hard at their wedding that I remember sleeping pretty much the entire day after. And now, our favorite duo is back, but this time with a +1. Desiree and Wilber recently adopted their puppy Baker, and so it was only right that he make his debut in their family portraits at Paint Branch Park. Taking family photos in Maryland can be pretty tricky this time of year, because the changing of the leaves is basically as mysterious as the dark side of the moon. In case you haven’t noticed, we are having what feels like an eternal summer right now, BUT we did manage to score some fall foliage in Silver Spring. Paint Branch Park doesn’t look like much from the trailhead, but it does have plenty of hidden gems. A field of tall grass, a perfect stream – it was as picturesque as it was freezing (I know because I rolled up my pants and climbed on in) – not to mention the winding trails, and grassy fields. Baker was in dog heaven. It was absolutely the perfect spot to grab some fall family photos, so without further ado, here is the Diaz’s family session!
