One of the small beauties of working with a group of photographers is that you end up having a copious amount of new profile pictures, test shots, amazing portraits, and hey, even family portraits done. When Michelle said she wanted a portrait session for her anniversary this year, I knew it would be amazing for 2 reasons. The first one being, she and TJ are just the cutest. The second, we could do whatever we wanted, wherever we wanted, for however long we wanted – so in short, complete creative control. It’s funny then, that with all the options in the world, Michelle & I decided to take her anniversary photos in her house. The Dant residence gets the prettiest morning sunlight, and is decorated perfectly. For Michelle & TJ’s photos, we decided just to go through a lazy morning routine with them, complete with snuggling, making coffee, and hanging out on the porch in the sunshine. Besides the outrageous amount of love that Michelle & TJ radiate and their endless laughter (check out Michelle’s squished closed happy eyes), I think these turned out so great because they document two people, living their lives together just as they would be on any ordinary day. I found a new love for in home portrait sessions. So, if you decide you too want a token of this season of your life in your home, give us a shout!
