Adrienne + Peter | Married 12.01.12 | Washington DC wedding photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing one of my high school buddies, Adrienne We were actually in the same photo class one year. We had the best photo teacher in the world, which opened up the world of photography and started a life-long pasion for me. The funny thing is, Mr. Drew wasn’t even very good at photography, he was just an incredible teacher. To this day, every time I hear the song “Porcelain” by Moby, I remember our class photo critiques. But I digress. Adrienne has always had a unique style so I knew her wedding would definitely be one to remember and beautiful to photograph. Then I found out Peter was a fellow motorcycle rider Anyhow, from their “First Look” on the rooftop of their apartment building in downtown DC, to portraits on the Ural (his Russian motorcycle), the quaint decor and ambiance of St. Anselm’s Abbey, and the unique styling of something vintage rentals at the reception, it certainly was everything I expected and more.

Two days before this past Christmas, and where was the party at?! The Castle at Maryvale where Corinne and Ryan got hitched! Since I met Corinne at her sister Jordan’s wedding in the spring, we’ve been looking forward to this beautiful Christmas wedding, the last one of 2012 for C&I. You can definitely tell from their engagement session in the fall that they are a laid back couple- they know how to have fun and aren’t afraid of being goofy with each other, which always makes for the best, most candid pictures. But December 23rd was filled with excitement, anticipation (as the girls were getting ready and wondering where one pair of heels went to), once-in-a-lifetime moments (as Corinne and Ryan had their “first look” in the privacy of the Castle’s library), romance (sharing their vows in front of friends and family amidst the christmas lights, tree, and garland), and of course…some numbness (since we had to drag the whole family and wedding party outside in the freezing winter weather for pictures…but it was worth it!). We wish you all the best Corinne and Ryan!! I hope that through these pictures you will always remember the amazing day that started the rest of your lives together and not the time you spent outside trying to figure out if you could still feel your fingers

Morgan & Chris | Engaged | Westminster Maryland Photographer

Morgan and Chris were right at home at his family’s log cabin out in Westminster, Maryland. Morgan told me when we first met that their dream session would be in the snow. I said ok… fingers crossed we would get some snow this year. So came a Saturday morning after Christmas when it rained a little down where I live, and I got a surprising call from them because I saw no snow. But I took their word for it and just an hour northwest and …boom- 6 inches of snow. Imagine the type of house you would want to stay in if you were off on a winter getaway at a ski lodge or something… that’s pretty much Chris’s family’s property. It was a beautiful home that Chris and his father helped build- such a unique and personal backdrop for their engagement pictures, which I hope captured how full of life and fun this couple is. Anyhow, check it out for yourself! Congrats Chris and Morgan, can’t wait till the wedding.

Katherine + Nelson | Married | 10.27.12 | Boca Raton wedding photographer

I first met Katherine at one of our art walk events, C&I’s vintage car shoot. She is a professional makeup artist with Face2Face Studios. They help us out all the time on a lot of our shoots. As far as we are concerned, they are the best in the business. The first thing Katherine told me was that they wanted the whole wedding party to enter the reception wearing masquerade masks- awesome ! Anyway, the wedding was to take place on the 27th of October. Most people dont think hurricane season when you think of October. After all it is the tail end of it. But… Sandy had just swept by the day before leaving the shore a little battered but basically missing South Florida. I saw parts of A1A flooded but the northern east coast took the brunt of it. They got super lucky. It was a beautiful day in Boca Raton. And the wedding was held at one of the prettiest venues in Boca, The Addison. My first stop of the day was with the boys; I took them out to the beach for some quick portraits. You can see in one of the image sequences, Sandy may have missed FL, but it left some pretty big swells. The water got the best of the buys at one point. Second stop was with the ladies. Luci Anne, Maid of Honor and owner of Face2Face did an outstanding job creating a timeless look for Katherine. I think I took more portraits of Katherine than any bride before. I loved how everything flowed together from the venue to the bridesmaid dresses and the decor. Definitely one of the more beautiful weddings I’ve been to. Congratulations again Katherine & Nelson. Thanks for letting me hang out with you and photograph your wedding.

Tracy + Jonathan | Married | 10.27.12 | Washington D.C. Photographer

I met Tracy and Jonathan back in August when I shot their engagement pictures in DC. And on October 27th, I had the opportunity to capture the first day of the rest of their lives together as they tied the knot at Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart at Georgetown University on a beautiful autumn day. This chapel is on the campus of Georgetown University where they first met a few years ago. And the historic, ornate church building provided an amazing backdrop for their fall wedding colors. I had a lot of fun shooting with them and their wedding party outside where Tracy and Jonathan are most comfortable! They love the outdoors whether they are hiking, skiing, or running. From there we continued the party at The Fairfax at Embassy Row right in DC, which was decorated so elegantly. Overall, the wedding was spectacular, and most of all, the bride was gorgeous. Tracy and Jonathan, we wish you the best and congratulations!

Nicole + Joshua | Married | 10.22.12 | Timonium, Maryland wedding

Nicole and Joshua’s wedding fell on a beautiful October afternoon in Baltimore County, Maryland. They were married at the Gramercy Mansion, a beautiful little bed and breakfast tucked back in the woods just off the main road. The Gramercy will always have a special place in my heart because it’s where Danielle and I were married only two years prior–almost to the day! They say that October is the new June for weddings and I can really see why. The weather, the trees, the whole atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect. It was hard to take a bad picture . Nicole and Joshua had great taste as you can see; they put a lot of thought and care into all the little details around the mansion. Thanks guys for a great time and for giving us a little trip down memory lane. Congrats

Melissa & Harry | Engaged | Baltimore, MD

Melissa and Harry having just recently moved to North Carolina, made the trek all the way back up to baltimore with their two pups for a trip down memory lane. When Melissa and I first started talking about their session, Melissa knew exactly what she wanted to do right away. We started in a local dog park in Hampden, Baltimore where Melissa and Harry used to go for walks with their dogs. From there, they took me to their first home together. I loved her location choices on account of how special they were to the two of them and how true it was to their story. At the end, we ended up in a well-known graffiti alley, which was a cool contrast to how sharply they were dressed. Melissa and Harry were so much fun, and Baltimore has so much charm- I could have spent the whole day with them.

Jennifer & Chaise | Engaged

I had the pleasure of shooting engagements for Jennifer & Chaise. We actually had it scheduled for the Sunday that hurricane Sandy was supposed to hit. In a scramble we quickly moved it to that friday before and had beautiful weather, I guess that’s what they call “the calm before the storm”. We had a lot of fun, Chaise and Jennifer are super down to earth and really chill people to be around. Thanks guys! Congratulations and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that was affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Jackie & Andrew | Married | Union Mills Homestead | 9-08-12

Jackie and Andrew are truly two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. There is a kindred spirit between the two of them that you don’t often find with people, it’s the spark that makes them so special. They really are two of a kind, a match made for each other! Jackie & Andrew have quite an imagination! When I did their engagement photos (Click Here) Jackie told me she wanted to do something a little different…so she got a bunch of mason jars & glow sticks. We went out at night, cut the glow sticks apart and put the juice in the jars, then hung them in the trees. It made for a bunch of really cool and unique pictures. Knowing how creative and unique the engagement shoot was, I knew their wedding would be amazing, and it was. Everything was perfect, from the massive wall of hand made paper flowers, to the handmade boutonnieres, to all the other thoughtful decorations. What an amazing site to see. I’m so honored that Justin & I we were able to make their memories last forever! Congratulations guys, you are awesome!

Corinne & Ryan | Engaged Spark Banks Nature Center Maryland

Sometimes we end up working with people we really love! You know whats even better than that? Getting recommendations from those people and getting to worth with their friends and family. Meet Corinne and Ryan. Corinne is the sister of one of my past brides, Jordan (who also makes an appearance in this shoot We all had such a great time at Jordan & Bub’s wedding. Shorty after Ryan popped the question and an email from Corinne popped up in my inbox! (See what I did there? lol) I loved the simplicity and personality of this shoot. We just took a stroll though the nature center like Corinne & Ryan usually do. Accompanied by their two pups, we all hung out in the park for a while (some times ryan literally hung out-you will see what I mean in a minute. That gif kills me) After the shoot Corinne & Ryan took us all out to the green turtle ( Thanks again Guys ;-)) I can’t wait to shoot your wedding!

Lucy & Brendan | Engaged

Lucy & I go back a long ways, further then I can remember. She introduced Brendan to me a couple years back and I remember thinking, this just might work. Years went by and guess what, he put a ring on it! So awesome. It’s always so cool to photograph these special life events, even better when they are your good friends. Jessica + Dustin | Married 9.7.12 Turf Valley Country Club | Maryland Wedding Photographer

I first met Jessica & Dustin a few months back for their engagement session. Instantly fell in love with their candor and playful dispositions. One of the things I love most about shooting engagement sessions before the wedding is you really get to meet your couple. There’s something about it that just melts away the camera awkwardness so the big day is nothing but a good time. Jessica & Dustin got married at one of my favorite venues in town. Turf Valley Country Club. First off…The food is always delicious And second, they have some of the prettiest trees out in their gardens (so pretty that we decided to climb them). We are actually going to do a wedding show there this coming January… So check back with us on Facebook for the details. We would love to meet you and hang for a bit at the show. Any how Jessica & Dustin were married at the Gazebo under the large weeping willow . Their puppy, Layla, joined them of course The huge trees were a perfect buffer for the residual summer heat. Andrea + Jonathan | Married 9.2.12 | Silver Spring Maryland Wedding Photographer

Hey there!

Well we have had a busy summer and it looks like just it was just the beginning because the fall weddings are in full swing now. We have met a lot of new friends and awesome people over the course of the last few months, some of which we will never forget Seriously… one awesome thing about this job is the people you get to hang out with. Anyhow, not all of our friends were new ones. Take Andrea and Jonathan, for example. I have known Andrea since high school. We shared classes together at good old PBHS (Paint Branch high school in Burtonsville, MD). Never thought I would be shooting her wedding. And what a beautiful wedding it was. You wouldn’t know it from the outside… but Spencerville church has an incredible sanctuary. Most times when a bride tells me the ceremony is going to be inside, I dont get my hopes up to high. But Spencerville had wall to wall classic wood with beautiful stained glass. It made for a beautiful backdrop for the wedding and complimented Andrea’s wedding colors very well. A & J’s bridal party was also one of the most fun we have worked with. You guys are truly blessed with some of the best friends and family. Jonathan’s brother had me cracking up at the reception with his comedy routine, I mean toast! Everyone was laughing so hard for at least 10 minutes- it was a great way to start the party

All in all It was a perfect day for two very cool people. Congrats guys!

Janet & Kyle | 8-12-12 | Taneytown, MD

Every once in a while we get a perfect summer day to photograph a wedding. Janet & Kyle’s wedding was one of these. The day went so smoothly, no rain and the temperature held at a beautiful level. The location was so pretty, it truly made for some timeless photographs. Janet & Kyle are so great together, they really make a perfect pair. Congratulations to the both of you! Michalla & Brian | Married | 8-11-12

Michalla and Brian are two cats that really know how to throw an awesome party, I mean wedding ;). The ceremony was supposed to be held outdoors, however, some good luck decided to fall from the skies and forced everyone inside. It didn’t phase them though, they took it in stride, and the ceremony turned out to be even more intimate and amazing. There were many, many hilarious memories, but one that really sticks out in my mind was when Brian was reciting his vows to Michalla he started to choke up with emotion, Michalla, not missing a beat says, “LOCK IT UP.” Everyone laughed. I guess you had to be there. Lol. Congratulations guys, I had so much fun at your wedding!
