There were so many things I loved about it. But most of all, I loved that Taylor, the bride, called me and said I don’t really care about anything else except for the pictures :-) . She took our advice on her schedule and gave us everything we needed to make the images from this wedding absolutely stress free and stunning. You all might recognize this venue because, well, we shoot here a lot now!  This is the lovely, quaint, and, up until recently, best kept secret venue in Maryland , The Mathwig Estate Event Barn. Taylor is actually the event coordinator there. She is the sweetest to work with and I would highly recommend an event there.  We have shot there multiple times now, the first one being Liz and Andy’s wedding last year and even though its a very small venue, we never run out of different looks at this place. Anyhow, Taylor and brandon are the most down-to-earth people you could work with. After their engagement session we were old pals and I was very excited for the wedding. A few of my favorite moments from the wedding were, well of course the first look, then Taylor pulling a “Risky Business” move and moonwalking in the green room, and finally the girls hanging out in her grandfather’s classic car. Ahhh, Just see for your self.

Just a simple, old, wooden barn in a huge field complete with an intimate vineyard. Danielle, Ian, and I were excited to see Morgan and Chris again as we had seen them three times prior (wedding meeting, engagement session, and wedding show); they’re a passionate, young couple who are just so fun and likable. They are both so sincere and genuine- it was so easy to capture their love for each other and others. We could tell how wonderful they were by the strength of the relationships they had with their friends and family. Their wedding party prayed over each of them prior to the ceremony; Morgan’s middle school Bible study girls excitedly ooo’d and awww’d at her beauty and then tearfully watched as she walked down the aisle; her dad and her shared an unforgettable moment before the ceremony; Chris of course also made an unforgettable memory with his guys…and Ian….he split the back of his pants right down the middle before the wedding started. Luckily we had a sewing kit. Morgan never knew about this event until afterward of course 😉 and I’m sure Chris’s friends still haven’t let him live it down. Anyways, on top of all of this…Morgan and Chris made everything look beautiful, personalized, and artistic as you will soon see. Keep scrolling!

They were married at the Gramercy Mansion, a beautiful little bed and breakfast tucked back in the woods just off the main road. The Gramercy will always have a special place in my heart because it’s where Danielle and I were married only two years prior–almost to the day! They say that October is the new June for weddings and I can really see why. The weather, the trees, the whole atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect. It was hard to take a bad picture 😉 . Nicole and Joshua had great taste as you can see; they put a lot of thought and care into all the little details around the mansion. Thanks guys for a great time and for giving us a little trip down memory lane. :-) Congrats
