There were so many things I loved about it. But most of all, I loved that Taylor, the bride, called me and said I don’t really care about anything else except for the pictures :-) . She took our advice on her schedule and gave us everything we needed to make the images from this wedding absolutely stress free and stunning. You all might recognize this venue because, well, we shoot here a lot now!  This is the lovely, quaint, and, up until recently, best kept secret venue in Maryland , The Mathwig Estate Event Barn. Taylor is actually the event coordinator there. She is the sweetest to work with and I would highly recommend an event there.  We have shot there multiple times now, the first one being Liz and Andy’s wedding last year and even though its a very small venue, we never run out of different looks at this place. Anyhow, Taylor and brandon are the most down-to-earth people you could work with. After their engagement session we were old pals and I was very excited for the wedding. A few of my favorite moments from the wedding were, well of course the first look, then Taylor pulling a “Risky Business” move and moonwalking in the green room, and finally the girls hanging out in her grandfather’s classic car. Ahhh, Just see for your self.

Her family actually owns the Mathwig Estate Event Barn, which is quickly becoming the most popular off the grid wedding venue in Maryland. We were excited to be a part of their first wedding show there a couple months ago; Taylor did a great job hosting it of course! And then I made the long drive back to Thurmont (where the Barn is located) for Taylor and Brandon’s engagement session…which has become one of my favorite shoots recently. Everything was so inspiring – the location, the perfect lighting, and of course Taylor and Brandon :-) My wife ended up texting me asking where I was since I had been there for so long lol oops! Anyways…here’s what we were doing for so long….

Morgan and Steve had a beautiful, quaint wedding at the rustic Mrs. K’s Toll House in Silver Spring, surrounded by summer flowers, and their closest friends and family- just the perfect setting. The bride and groom were so in love, I don’t even think they noticed I was there capturing every moment; certainly made my job easy, fun, and made for the most natural pictures. The whole wedding was so gorgeous, calm, full of love, and of course lots of laughs and fun. It was my pleasure to shoot it. Morgan and Steve I wish your life together be as wonderful as your weddin day was and more!

This wedding in particular was extremely pretty down to the very last detail. Let me introduce you to Liz & Andy. No offense Andy, but I know most of the styling that went into your wedding was Liz and she nailed it! Danielle and I were anticipating this wedding ever since our engagement shoot with Liz and Andy back in november of last year. As soon as they pulled up with their truck full of props I knew we were going to be friends. :-) Fast forward to the wedding day and it is the same story. We arrived and instantly fell in love with the property and the venue. Liz & Andy’s families were running all over the place decorating, setting up things here and there. It was awesome to see the dedication and love that went into this wedding. Looking at the images its hard to believe they did this all without the help of a coordinator or a wedding planner. I tip my hat to you guys. The wedding was just as fun as it was beautiful. Congrats,
