Marian and Mark’s wedding was held downtown at the beautiful Holy Trinity Catholic Church. I love the feeling old churches have, the large stone walls and beautiful murals are really something to marvel after. After the ceremony we moved on to the Loews Madison hotel in DC. The dimly lit atmosphere mixed with the slick dance moves, made for an amazing time. There was so much love and laughs surrounding them as they said their vows and celebrated! Congrats Marian & Mark!

There’s that old cheesy saying “A photograph is worth a thousand words,” but man, it’s so true. When you tell your friends and family that you got engaged, the first thing everyone asks is “How did they do it? Was it a surprise? What did you say?” Chelsea & Vanessa’s on the spot engagement pictures answer it, no words needed. When Vanessa asked us to be part of this huge surprise, we knew we had to say yes. She set up a sign at the end of the iconic Maryland’s Symphony of lights. They drove through the whole course while we hid out in the field. It was freezing but so worth at it. Chelsea’s face is priceless. So a photo isn’t worth a thousand words…it’s priceless. Congrats to you Chelsea & Vanessa!

There’s just something about New York City that fills you with excitement and wonder. We took an early morning road trip up to NYC and met Anthony & Xay. They’re the nicest, most friendly folks you’ll ever meet. We spent the day with Xay & Anthony roving around Brooklyn, looking over at the colossal Manhattan buildings from The Promenade and exploring the neighborhoods they’ve lived in. We had some pretty incredible pizza and German food at Buschenschank. It felt like we were just exploring the city with good friends, sharing a meal and stories together, snapping some portraits in the moments in between. Anthony & Xay we are so pumped to shoot your wedding at Union Mills Homestead and hang out again!

Camila, who is originally from Colombia and first came to America four years ago where she met Joe and before she knew it…Joe put a ring on it. Rob & Sara’s wedding at Swan Harbor Farm was so exciting for us. Not only are they such kind people, but their venue was a new one for us. It was like uncharted territory. From endless crop fields to that charming Maryland waterfront, this place had some incredible grounds. Rob & Sara exchanged probably the sweetest vows ever written AND there was a surprise visit from Slapshot (Go Caps!). It’s not every day you get to dance with a giant hockey eagle… It’s not every day you get married! Congrats to Rob & Sara!

With all of its history and old architecture, Federal Hill is iconic Baltimore. Mona & Jared kept it classic but cool, venturing down to the Visionary Art Museum, playing like kids at the park, and just taking in the city below. A huge ferris wheel in the harbor changed up the skyline, and made for some really sweet shots. Congrats Mona & Jared!

I’ve known Dani and Tony for some time now. Tony and I go way back to when we were just two teenagers with nothing better to do but go to concerts or hang out at malls. A few years later I met Dani at my second job, where we all worked, and like to think I had something to do with how they met. I was around when they first started dating and have watched them blossom to where they are now. Tony told me he was getting ready to ‘pop the question’ and, (if she said yes, lol), he wanted me to be a part of their journey and be their photographer. I was so siked that she accepted, and now I get to be a part of one of the most amazing and monumental days of their lives. I love any excuse to use my abilities to capture moments – it’s an added bonus when you get to hang out with friends while doing what you love. Congrats you two, can’t wait for your wedding!

Tony and Courtney are genuinely sweet. They aren’t afraid to act like goofballs either. I first shot Grey & Peter’s official wedding last fall, knowing I would be shooting their wedding celebration the following spring with all their family and friends. The day started off awesome, how could it not when you are at a house over looking the Bay, surrounded by nature and trees? Then I saw Peter and Grey, both smiling and ready to celebrate their day, and it made it even more special. Their love for each other is evident, just by seeing them interact with one another. They have been together for a long time, but their love is still that of “two teenagers in love”. At the end of the night Grey came out dressed as a rockstar and had a monologue to different Kiss songs that went along with the first time he met Peter, It was the perfect ending to the night. Congratulations to Peter & Grey once again!

These two are very close to my heart. Michelle and Tj are part of my church family. I wish I got to see them more but Sundays are in high demand around wedding season. One of my favorite things about shooting with friends is how relaxed and comfortable everyone is. This shoot was about 4 days after my wrist surgery so part of the relaxation was probably due to the heavy narcotics the doctor had me on … ha. Don’t worry, Ian came along in case I couldn’t wield the camera just yet but it was easier than I thought so soon after surgery. For those of you who don’t know, a week or so before this I was shooting a wedding on the Eastern shore when I broke my wrist after climbing something (that broke) to get a shot. In my defense , the shot would have been epic. Anyhow, there is no rest for the weary in wedding season- gotta get right back on that horse. We fly on over to Ohio for Michelle and Tj’s Big day later this month. Can’t wait.
